This page summarises the choices available to you regarding any personal information processed by UptimeRobot Mac Bar.It is a companion to our fullPrivacy Policy.

Summary of what we collect

UptimeRobot Mac Bar does not collect personal information on behalf of Little Polar Apps Ltd.Specifically:

• We do not run servers that receive your data.
• We do not collect analytics, telemetry, advertising identifiers, crash reports, location, or contacts.
• We do not sell, rent, share, or otherwise transfer your personal information to third parties for advertising or marketing.
• We do not use your information for cross-context behavioural advertising or profiling.

Your UptimeRobot API key and monitor data stay on your Mac(Keychain+memory)and travel only between your Mac and UptimeRobot.Optional Sparkle update checks(direct-distribution build only)reach the publisher’s hosting domain to fetch the appcast file;standard web server logs may be recorded by the host as described in the Privacy Policy.

Because we do not collect personal information,many traditional privacy choices(such as”do not sell my data”)do not apply.The choices below cover the data the app does handle locally and through UptimeRobot.

Your choices

1. Choose not to provide an API key

The app is fully functional in a”signed out”state,just without monitor data.If you never sign in,no API key is stored and no requests are made to UptimeRobot from the app.

2. Remove your API key at any time

In the menu bar,open the app menu and chooseSign Out.This deletes the stored API key from the macOS Keychain.The next launch will start in the signed-out state.

3. Limit which monitors are queried

OpenChoose Monitors…from the menu to switch from”All monitors”to a selected subset.Only the data UptimeRobot returns is displayed;we cannot reduce what UptimeRobot returns server-side.To limit what UptimeRobot itself stores,manage your monitors in your UptimeRobot account.

4. Control the polling interval

OpenPreferences…to change how often the app contacts UptimeRobot.A longer interval means fewer requests are made on your behalf.

5. Mute or disable audible alerts

UseMute Alertsin the menu.Custom alert sounds,if any,are read only from your Mac.

6. Disable software update checks (direct-distribution build only)

The direct-distribution build periodically contactshttps://expanse.io/uptimerobotmacbar/appcast.xmlto look for updates via Sparkle.To stop these requests:

• Quit the app, or
• Switch to the Mac App Store build, which does not include Sparkle. Updates for that build are delivered by Apple via the Mac App Store, subject to Apple’s privacy practices.

7. Remove all local data the app has stored

The app stores:

• The API key in the macOS Keychain (under bundle identifierio.expanse.UptimeRobotMacBarorio.expanse.UptimeRobotMacBar.appstore). Sign Out removes this; you can also delete it manually with Keychain Access.
• Preferences in macOS user defaults (poll interval, mute state, monitor selection, launch-at-login choice). To clear, remove the app’s plist from~/Library/Preferences/.
• An optional custom alert sound at~/Library/Application Support/UptimeRobotMacBar/. Delete that folder to remove it.

Uninstalling the app does not by itself remove the Keychain entry or preferences;the steps above cover the cleanup.

8. Stop the app from making any network requests

Quit the app,or block its outbound connections using a tool such as macOS Application Firewall or Little Snitch.The endpoints it contacts are listed in the Privacy Policy.

Choices in respect of UptimeRobot and Apple

• UptimeRobotcontrols the data associated with your account and monitors. To access, correct, export, or delete that data, sign in to your UptimeRobot account or contact UptimeRobot viahttps://uptimerobot.com/privacyPolicy.
• Applecontrols any data associated with your Mac App Store purchase, Apple ID, or crash reports submitted through macOS. To manage that data, useSettings → Apple Account → Sign-In & Security → Data & Privacy, or visithttps://privacy.apple.com.

We are not able to act on your behalf with these third parties.

Statutory rights (GDPR, UK GDPR, CCPA/CPRA and similar)

Even though we do not collect personal information through the app,you may still have rights under data protection or privacy laws—for example to access,correct,delete,or restrict processing of personal information,to object to processing,to data portability,or to opt out of”sale”or”sharing”of personal information.To exercise any such right against Little Polar Apps Ltd,contact us at[email protected]and describe what you are asking for.

We do not”sell”or”share”personal information as those terms are defined under California law,and we do not engage in cross-context behavioural advertising.There is therefore no”Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information”mechanism to enable.

We will not discriminate against you for exercising any privacy right.

If you believe we have not handled your request appropriately,you have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority(for example,the UK Information Commissioner’s Office athttps://ico.org.uk).
